As announced in Books and Vines News, the Pride and Prejudice project from The Bowler Press is now formally kicked off, with special pro-order pricing and perks being offered for purchases or contributions. To whet your appetite, I thought it would be a good time to post A Folio of Letters from Jane Austen Novels, which was recently released from The Bowler Press. For those of you who do not have any previous work from Jarrett Morrison (the proprietor of The Bowler Press), this will give you an idea of the high quality of his work. For Jane Austen lovers especially, this is fabulous stuff!

- Navy and green rayon-covered, double-hinged folio contains letters from Jane Austen novels, written by Capt. Wentworth (from Persuasion) and Mr Darcy (from Pride and Prejudice)
- Folio measures 8 by 12 inches
- Folio limited to 24
- Capt. Wentworth’s Letter is hand-set in Spectrum italic with the roman for display and a touch of Cancellaresca Bastarda for initials. Letterpress printed in four colours on ivory Magnani Revere Book Suede using a Chandler and Price Old Style jobbing press. One postage stamp engraving by Jarrett Morrison. Measures six and one-half inches by ten and one-half inches (165 x 267mm); deckle edge along the foot. Envelope constructed from indigo Canson Mi-Teintes and die-stamped in gold foil in Bickham Script. 200 numbered copies.
- Mr Darcy’s Letter is set in 12pt Fairbank, with Bembo Titling and touches of Fairbank digital polymer and Cancellaresca Bastarda, and printed on ivory Magnani Revere Book Suede. 5pp, enveloped in dove grey St Armand Handmade paper, 150 copies.
